"Class" is not a feature when using the singular check "memo" line. I was using the "class" to separate the areas where taxes are paid differently for year-end tax purposes. If you use the singular "memo" line on the check, it shows. However the reports no longer allow "split" transaction detail from the memo area to show. When the program was opened in Windows 11 it allowed me to do the accounting. I haven't had those capabilities probably since 2018. It had internet capabilities in 2014 such as email and help from the internet, but that was it. Remember this is when you purchased the program disc, not downloaded it. Of course I had to add the subscription number for the program to work on it. I purchased a Windows 11 and was able to install QB 2014 on that computer. However, my Windows 7 computer memory is now too full for QB 2014 to operate easily. I just downloaded the invoices and emailed on a separate computer since I isolate my accounting computer from my everyday uses. I lost the ability to email invoices a few years ago after the 2014 program wouldn't support the new type of email back then. Once your service is canceled, you'll no longer be able to: I did follow a link from that link that dbeato posted. But can't change it or add more, kinda like jeffbrubaker said. and without the license? I would bet I can ACCESS the current data. Then you are back to just buying the perpetual license to start, since in a year, you certainly can't find a stand alone license. You will still have the Quickbooks Company Files but you will need to get a stand-alone license to keep working on Quickbooks without a subscription Perfect example of why support from them is worthless ) and invariablly, there'll be links to other pages. I could follow those links and try to read those. Reminds me of the cliche - if you can't dazzle them with brilliance, baffle them with Bullsh_t. But then there's SEVERAL links to other pages about discontinuation. is that Access to just read it? Access to edit / add things? Doesn't say. dbeato 's link takes you to a page with intuit workers answering questions. And likely all the bugs they'd fix in 2021 are already fixed? And they don't need bank sync.ĭa_Schmoo Don't mean to shoot the messenger with this!!Īs usual, intuit makes it hard to know what's going on. They aren't adding any really useful new features. They woudl turn to me for problem solving and other users on the web are better than support for most any help : )ĭon't need updates? The program has been out for loads of years. They don't need their support (my experience with most companies, and especially QB - script readers that have no clue). Thoughts? Would you get perpetual for single users to lower the cost for those that just buy / use software. With 3, subscription I think pays - it includes 3 / 5 users? You will still have the Quickbooks Company Files but you will need to get a stand-alone license to keep working on Quickbooks without a subscription.įrom what I can see, the last perpetual license version of quickbooks is 2021.Īny other sources you know of besides here?:įor companies with single / maybe 2 users, it's cheaper to go with these perpetuals. It will stop getting updates and access to Support, Payroll Services, Online Banking and Online Backup. It seems they are subscription only now? Does the program stop working if you don't continue the subscription? I know businesses running 5+ year old versions fine because they don't sync with banks. I know over the years they have tried squeezing more money out of people - the last few versions you could buy, but would allow syncing with banks for 3 years. or you can't enter new data? Or the program won't work.'Īnyone know the answer with this new 2022 version? What happens after using it for a year? You just lose the ability to sync with banks (we don't use that anyway). Amazing - I m in a chat for 15 minutes trying to get the answer to 'Desktop pro plus is an annual subscription.
